A College Rodeo Thanksgiving Reflection: Grateful for the Road That Led Here

Thanksgiving has a way of slowing everything down- I mean, after the meal is cooked, cleaned up and we finally sit on the couch. Rodeo seasons wind down, students head home, and all the noise of fall settles into something a little quieter. It’s the perfect moment to look back and take stock of what shaped us - and what we’re grateful for.
When I think about my own journey, college rodeo rises to the top every time. My years at Northwest College and the University of Montana didn’t just give me an education; they gave me confidence, purpose, and a community I didn’t even know I needed at the time. The long practices, the travel, the early mornings, and the people around me pushed me to grow in ways I still carry today. Those experiences built the foundation for Bullfrog Recruiting and the work I do with students now. I’m grateful for every run, every teammate, every coach, and every lesson learned along the way.
I’m also grateful for the people who stand behind me now. My husband and kids are the steady force that keep all of this moving. Their support, sacrifice, and understanding make it possible for me to build something bigger than myself. The Foy family’s roots run deep in the agriculture lifestyle, and everything we do is for the next generation coming up in it.
As we head into the holiday season, I’m thankful for the athletes, parents, and coaches who continue to believe in what we’re building at Bullfrog Recruiting Solutions. This community is the heartbeat of the sport, and being able to serve it is something I never take for granted.
Wishing you and your family a warm, meaningful Thanksgiving. May your homes be full, your travels safe, your rolls not be burnt and your hearts grateful for the road behind you - and the one ahead.
